The Distilled Story

The idea of curiosity and the oddity of connection with an untouchable past as it mixes with the experience of a present moment. Through the Ideology and persona of the Cuban revolution. The act of being born in Cuba and having lived in the USA most of my life, within a a never ending political rainstorm. I have tried to recreate a present vortex in which my Grandparents memories and the power of the Circus can help me create multiple other frames based on real lives , that somehow could live in harmony. Through the power of poetry, music and archival footage, the representational circus comes back to life, and the power to reinforce social change, can happen even while struggling for your daily bread. This physical and yet soulful action, become the crux of my Art and Film investigations.
